Nancy Edge is the Systems and Periodicals Librarian as well as the Assistant Director at West Library. Her work focuses on library systems and software, databases, periodicals, electronic resource management, and maintaining the library’s website. Nancy also provides reference and instruction on digital file management and information literacy as needed. She started collaborating with Dr. Kay Colley in 2021, researching the archival practices of community newspapers as well as student media groups.
Before coming to Texas Wesleyan in 2017, Nancy worked with the historical collections at the University of Houston, The Texas History Center in Rosenberg Library, and the Galveston Historical Foundation. She is a Certified Archivist as well as being certified as a Digital Archives Specialist. She earned a bachelor of arts in maritime studies with a minor in anthropology from Texas A&M University at Galveston and a master’s in information science from the University of North Texas.
