File Guidelines: Open Source Programs

What is "Open Source"?

“Open source” refers to something anyone can modify and share because its design is publicly accessible

Open-Source Software is software with the source code included so that anyone can inspect, modify, or enhance it.

  • This allows for collaborative development from multiple independent sources, generates an increasingly more diverse scope of design perspective
